Ashley Farrar Director
In addition to being the Director for the Clear Brook High School Dance/Drill Team, Ms. Farrar currently serves as a judge and camp staff member for American Dance and Drill Team.
Ms. Ashley Farrar has been dancing since a young age. She was raised in Lake Jackson and graduated from Brazoswood High School as an honor graduate. At BHS she was a member of the Brazoswood Buccaneer Belle dance team and served as Captain for two years under the direction of Ronnye Cowell. She taught dance and assisted at Dance Moves Dance Studio and when she wasn’t dancing kept record books for the Buccaneer Baseball Team. While in the Houston area, she performed in the Superbowl XXXVIII pre-game show and was the Brazoswood Brazoria County Fair Queen.
Ms. Farrar attended Texas Tech University majoring in Biology with an emphasis in ecology and environmental biology. At Texas Tech she was a member of the dance department participating in two showcases per year and earned a minor in dance. She was also a member of Alpha Chi Omega where she served as Intellectual Development on the Executive Committee and a member of the Chi Tau Epsilon Dance Fraternity.
Upon graduation from Texas Tech in 2009, Ms. Farrar moved to Arlington where she taught astronomy at South Grand Prairie HS her first year of teaching in 2010. She was the Director of the Chey-Anne Dance Team at SGPHS from 2011 – 2016.
Ms. Ashley Farrar has also danced professionally with the MALS Dallas Sidekicks Dance Team for the 2014-2015 Season under the Direction of Emily Scoville.
Ashley Farrar is excited to be the Celebrities Drill Team Director and is looking forward to working with the girls and the rest of the Wolverine family!
Ms. Farrar lives in the Friendswood area with her husband Kent and dog Parker.
Ash Cook Assistant Director
Mr. Ash Cook has been dancing since the age of 18. He began his dancing career at San Jacinto Community College South under the direction of Dr. Suzanne Oliver. While at San Jacinto South, Ash Cook completed all levels of Ballet and Modern dance, Jazz, Tap, Improvisation, Choreography, Dance History, and Concert classes. He was a member and officer of the Dance Guild, and a featured choreographer for many semesters. Mr. Cook received his Associate of Arts in Dance from San Jacinto College in May of 2013. He spent time at Sam Houston State University as a dance major, receiving instruction from a variety of professors including, Dana Nicolay, Jenifer Pontius, Jonathan Charles, Kista Tucker, and Melissa Wynn. While at SHSU, he performed in Dance Spectrum, the concert company group for the dance department. Mr. Cook also spent his free time participating in Fade to Black, a hip hop group on campus, and with Chi Tau Epsilon, the dance sorority on campus.
Ash Cook returned home and continued his education at University of Houston, Clear Lake. While here, he was a Fitness and Human Performance major, receiving a Bachelor of Science in December 2014. While at UHCL, he served as a member and officer for The National Society of Leadership and Success and the Exercise Science and Health Honor Society.
Mr. Cook has been instructing dancers in and around the Houston area since 2005. Ash spent most of his time with Dance Expressions LLC in Friendswood, Texas, and has had the pleasure of working with studios including, SoReal, JDF Elite, Axis Dance Studio, Twin Arts Dance Studio, Dance Productions, and Starlight Dance Studio. While at these studios, he taught classes that were in the disciplines of Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Drill Team Technique along with choreographing solos and group dances for studio and drill team competitions. Mr. Ash Cook has been recognized for his choreography at many competitions, including Crowd Pleasers, Hall of Fame, Nexstar, and many others.
He also was able to live out one of his dreams by performing with The Woodlands Ballet as the Russian soloist in their version of The Nutcracker.
Mr. Cook lives in the Friendswood area with his fur children, Stormy, Windy, and Harlee.
He feels blessed to have the opportunity to work alongside Ms. Ashley Farrar as the Assistant Director of the Clear Brook Celebrities, and to assist your students in another successful year.
