Below is a Question & Answer exchange between our President Alicia and Ms. Farrar. Please read, it should answer any questions that you have about getting ready at the school on game days and purchasing Chick-fil-A for your daughter. (Questions are in bold and Ms. Farrar answers follow)
Attached is an Chick-fil-A Order Form 2016 for your use. Please use this form. If you already sent in your payment/order on the form your daughter brought home, we will transfer the information.
Note: Alicia will be at the school tomorrow (Wed. 8-24-16) at 5:00 p.m. to collect order forms/payment and will take cash this time since it is such short notice.
If you questions let me know. I will send some of the updated forms to school with my daughter Rachel to pass out for your use.
*If paying with cash tomorrow, only send amount for 1st game. Afterwards send payment via check/money order.
from Ashley Farrar, Director
Is it mandatory for the team to stay after school on game days when school is in session? No, it is not mandatory but we believe it is a good way for the girls to bond more and get ready together so parents and girls do not have to worry about getting back to school at call time and dealing with traffic.
There are parents who do not want to purchase Chick-fil-a. Can their daughters leave school to get their own food? Yes, they just have to be back and ready to go by call time, traffic is not an excuse for being late.
Not all parents are available to bring their child food on game day. Completely understandable, maybe get with another parent and team up to bring each of them food? Just thinking out loud.
This is an additional cost for parents and some parents are not prepared to make this commitment. They would also like their daughter to be allowed to go home and eat after school. Which is completely fine, they just have to be fed, ready, and back on time.
There is no school on homecoming (9/30) or Saturday, 11/30. This means there is only 8 games where Chick-fil-a would be ordered.
If you don’t want to order for every game, how should that be reflected on the form? Each form is for one game. So if they wanted to order all 8 games, they would need 8 forms. The date of the game they are wanting to eat at needs to be put on the form. If they only wanted to eat at one game they would just need one form with one date.
Parents do not want to write checks or purchase money orders weekly as CBCBC has a no cash policy (which has been announced booster meetings). Can we make it a one-time payment due on Wednesday, 8/24? The no cash policy is booster policy so you can adjust it as you see fit. Mr. Cook and I just don’t touch booster money anymore so a booster member would need to be here to collect the money.Another idea if parents aren’t ready to make an all 8 game commitment. We could do the first four games right now due on the 24th and then give them an opportunity for the last four games later on in the season?
Since you’ve asked the Booster club to be responsible for collecting the money, ordering the meal, picking up/dropping off the meal it will be better for us to either collect all the orders up front, or break it into 2 payments at most. I will have a board member there tomorrow at 5:00 to collect money and provide receipts. If a Celebrity only has cash, I will accept it this time if they are paying for this week’s game only. If they are paying for the full season or breaking up their payments into two payments they will need to remit payment by check or money order.
